Impression Obsession What’s Brewing?

This is the second in my series of cards made for White Rose Crafts using Doodles Paper Playgrounds Sparkle Blends sequin mix!  This mix is called But First, Coffee and paired perfectly with Impression Obsession’s What’s Brewing? stamp set!  To create this card, I began with a base card of white card stock and stamped a coffee-related background (I don’t know who made it or where I got it!) plus the beans from IO’s set.  I then stamped out the coffee mugs, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, fussy-cut and glazed with Versamark and clear embossing powder.

Setting those aside, I created the frame using dark brown card stock, cut with Gina Marie Stitched Rectangle dies dies and a panel of clear acetate upon which I’d stamped the sentiment using Timber Brown Stazon ink.  I adhered the frame to the base card after adding a small handful of But First, Coffee sequins to the center, sealing them in with a frame of foam tape.  This card was less challenging than my first shaker card!  It would have been fun to add a sprinkle of coffee grounds!

Cup o’ Joe

coffee card
I love coffee.  I  love coffee cards, but don’t make them often enough!  This particular card was SO much fun!!  To begin, I stamped out the mug from What’s Brewing by Impression Obsession using Versafine Onyx Black permanent ink, colored them with Ranger Distress markers, fussy-cut them out and then coated each with a layer of Glossy Accents by Ranger.  Setting them aside, I stamped my coffee background stamp (company unknown) with Walnut distress ink onto a piece of Bristol Smooth paper, then the coffee rings (I don’t recall where I got them or who made them!) and then heat-embossed the coffee beans over all using brown embossing powder.  I sponged Walnut distress ink heavily around the edges and into the center, leaving some white space.  Each of the mugs are lifted with a bit of foam tape and the sentiment is from Stampin Up, stamped with Walnut onto a scrap of paper.  For some reason, I only took one photo of this card, but after posting it to a Facebook group, was requested to make several more for purchase!  This is one of my favorite cards ever!
