It’s A Cover Up!

Oh, how I’m loving my Copic markers!  This beautiful image is actually one small cluster of flowers from A Bouquet For You by Stampendous.  I stamped and masked them several times to fill the space, leaving room for a sentiment.  Alas, when I finished coloring, I noticed that I’d inadvertently left a mark from the yellow marker right in the middle!!  UGH!!

I was pretty disappointed to have to add something to cover it!  When I posted this on Instagram, I got many great suggestions for ways to fix the “boo-boo” from “glue on a butterfly or a sequin” to “use a sand eraser to remove it” to “fussy-cut the flowers from the panel and mount them onto another base card”, all great ideas!  Sadly, I’d already adhered my panel to the base card with strips of foam tape, so fussy-cutting wasn’t an option without making a mess of my scissors!   I went ahead and stamped my sentiment from CTMH, a retired set I recently bought from a Facebook group.

As you can see, I did glue on a teensy flower and although it does the trick, it’s not quite the look I was going for!  But in the end, whoever receives this card will never know my “dilemma” and will love it just the way it is!  And I do love the yellow blossom against the white background!

It’s so great to bring my cards outside and pose them amidst the flowers on our deck; I think the sunshine and greenery add a nice touch to my photos and just enhance the beautiful cards!
