Stampin Up Born To Ride

Did you know that I’m a motorcycle rider?!  I began riding in 2012 and shortly after created a line of biker cards under the name of Rubber Side Down!  A friend recently gifted me with this awesome retired set from Stampin Up and I immediately got busy!  I began with a piece of Strathmore watercolor paper and heat-embossed the motorcycle and other image in black.  I then created the background using Ranger Distress Oxide inks, Faded Jeans, Black Soot, Pumice Stone, Broken China and Fossilized Amber.  I typed out the sentiment on the computer; it seems fitting for the stormy look!   Road Trip is from Tim Holtz’ set called Road Trip!  🙂

Here’s another Rubber Side Down card; I used Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Faded Jeans, Iced Spruce and Black Soot distress oxide inks (I LOVE those inks!!!) and the Route 66 image from one of Tim Holtz’ sets called Road Trip .

I added the tire tracks from Tim Holtz’ Road Trip set and stamped a background of images from the Stampin Up set onto my card base.
